In this crazy day and age, many of us live our life full of unnecessary stress and tension that can be almost eliminated simply by using Yoga exercise just a few times each week. Added stress and tension can create all sorts of problems including increased fatigue, moody emotions, weight gain and even back pain. It just makes sense that if something can be done in about twenty minutes can reduce or eliminate those symptom you should consider doing it – and that something is Yoga.

Since it has the ability to both reduce stress and exercise the body, yoga is a great part of any wellness routine. If you are trying to use yoga to lose belly fat, well, that can be done. There are a number of yoga positions (called asanas) which exercise the stomach muscles. Bear in mind that some of these are more advanced than other. Assess your own skill and comfort level before trying certain asanas. If you are not sure you are able to do one asana, start with one that seems easier and work your way up once you have belt some strength and flexibility. Make sure to consult a fitness professional before beginning any new workout routine in order to prevent injury.

Yoga derives from yog the Sanskrit word for union or yoke. Yoga then is a fusion of the body with the mind.
Largely known to many people as a system of mental and physical exercises which facilitate meditation and flexibility, Yoga has been practiced for several thousand years. Some adherents of Yoga trace its beginnings back to the carving of a cross legged man with outstretched arms found on a seal thought to be over eight thousand years old.
